Scriptural Texts for Sunday, 8/12/07

From the Sermon entitled "Who's the Fool Now?"
Matthew 5:22
– But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Proverbs 14:6 – A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is arrogant and careless.
Proverbs 17:28 – Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise.
Proverbs 18:2 - A fool does not delight in understanding, But only in revealing his own mind.
Proverbs 26:11
– As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly.
Psalm 14:1 – The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
Romans 1:22 – Professing themselves to be wise, they become fools.
