2. What is a name? It a word that you put with your thoughts of a person and that word makes you think of them.
3. Where did Jesus get his name? The Angel of the Lord came to Joseph and told him what to call Jesus, and Gabriel an Angel of God came to Mary and told her what to call him Jesus.
4. There is only one name that people can be saved by, what is that name? Jesus, don't forget that name.

Jesus - The New Testament was written in Greek, and the name "Jesus" here means the same in Greek as the Hebrew name "Joshua."
"Joshua" means literally God is salvation. So the angel's message to Joseph was "You shall call His name 'God is salvation,' for He will save His people from their sins." That name tells us of Jesus' purpose in God's plan-that it is through Him that God saves humanity.(He is our door to the God of Heaven and Earth, the one with all authority over every person and everything.)

We need to be a people that call upon His name, and we need to keep calling and proclaiming His name. Romans 10: 9-15 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
Let's confess His name to Him today. Romans 10:10-11 You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. 11 It is written: " 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Philippians 2:8-11 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
