Updates...

Mr. Al Nesbitt, of the Goldsboro South Camp of the Gideon Society, gave a presentation on behalf of the Gideons International during our Sunday, February 21st, morning worship service. Please visit their website if interested in supporting this fine Christian organization.

On that same weekend, a group of 31 - comprised of parents and youth from our Jr. and Sr. MYF groups - went on a Ski Trip to Banner Elk, NC, and enjoyed an afternoon of skiing on Sugar Mountain, and an afternoon of tubing at Hawk's Nest, NC; such Ski Trips have been a semi-annual event at our church for many years. Everyone had an enjoyable time of Christian fun and fellowship.

Jesus and the Leper

Mark 1:40-45
40A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, "If you are willing, you can make me clean."
41Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" 42Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.
43Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: 44"See that you don't tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them." 45Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.

Happy Valentine's Day 2009!

Our Senior & Junior MYF Groups hosted their annual Valentine's Banquet, with food prepared by some of the wonderful ladies of our church. The meal and fellowship was awesome, and a grand time was had by all; Mr. and Mrs. Dortch Price won this year's crown as the Valentine King and Queen!
